Antique Silver and Gold Swallow and Horseshoe Necklace

An antique Silver and 9ct gold love heart brooch transformed into a beautiful necklace hanging from a fine gold chain.

The original brooch is early 20thC and has 2 swallows either side a horseshoe and a detailed bar with hearts and flowers hanging from a new 9ct gold chain 18" (45cm) chain attached to either end of the brooch bar. 

These love token brooches were often give to a betrothed when the fiancé went off to sea or to work away from home..
