Gold Mounted Ancient Coin and Belcher Chain Necklace

An original ancient coin, a metal detector find, bought by Badgers velvet from an antiquities dealer has been encased in a 9ct gold circular coin mount and attached to an 18" 9ct gold Belcher chain. 

This unique bronze coin has debossed letters to one side and a fugurative form to the other.

We have no further information about the age of this coin but love the mystery and history behind these precious pieces and that we can give them a new life and purpose. With wear, the bronze will start to show through and more detail appear as the patinas of age wear off.
