A striking and truly unique handmade antique gold bracelet, adorned with five genuine Roman coins dating from approximately 400–60 AD.
Each original coin hangs from a small ring that links together sections of Victorian rolled-gold belcher chain, all repurposed from antique guard chains. One side of each coin bears the profile of an emperor, while the reverse depicts classical figures, likely warriors or deities.
The coins are obviously time worn and “nibbled” by age, carrying a rich sense of history and individuality, adding to the distinctive charm of this remarkable Badger’s Velvet piece.
With wear, the patina will gradually wear away, allowing the character of the bronze to re-appear over time, creating an ever-changing and truly unique piece of historic jewellery
