We have created this fabulous necklace from a section of Victorian gold box-link guard chain, complete with its original Albert clasp still intact.
Guard chains were used in the 19th century for a variety of purposes, from securing a pocket watch to carrying small personal items like keys, lockets, or seals, as well as adding a decorative touch to an outfit.
This chain was originally much longer and has been thoughtfully reworked to create two Badger’s Velvet pieces.
