This beautifully crafted silver necklace has been created by pairing an engraved antique silver pencil with a antique snake-style curb chain.
The pencil, likely once part of a chatelaine and dating to the mid-19th century, no longer contains its lead but still extends as originally designed. It is finished with its original dark amethyst stone set at the widest end, adding a rich focal point.
We have combined this piece with a rare, long section of guard chain in a snake curb style, creating a fluid elegant line. The original and unusual Albert clasp remains in place, screwing securely together and functioning perfectly.
