Gold Mounted Roman Coin and Belcher Chain Necklace

An original Roman coin, a UK metal detector find, bought by Badgers Velvet from an antiquities dealer has been encased in a 9ct circular coin mount and attached to an 18" 9ct gold belcher chain. 

This unique coin is well worn, nibbled and pitted the bronze will start to show more detail as the patinas of age wear off.  

It appears to have a head on one side and figures on the reverse but we have no further information about the age. An important part of the appeal of this jewellery is the mystery and history imbued in each piece and that we can give new life and purpose to a lost object.
