Silver Oval Baby Necklace

An antique sterling silver “Baby” brooch from around 1910, has been reimagined into a truly special and one off necklace.

The original piece features the word “Baby” embossed on a textured oval background. Once created to celebrate the arrival of a newborn in the early 20th century, it has been transformed by Badger's Velvet into a striking modern accessory.

The pin has been removed and replaced with a substantial length of Victorian silver oval belcher chain, whose link shape subtly echoes the form of the 'Baby disc', creating a beautifully balanced and contemporary piece of jewellery.

While its origins are rooted in tradition, we love its modern reinterpretation “Baby” as a term of affection, perfect between partners or loved ones.
